Rain Forest Green
A richly veined green natural stone from Rajasthan, India
Rain Forest Green is quarried in Rajasthan, India, within the region’s green-stone belt. As a serpentinite – a rock formed from serpentine-group minerals – it differs geologically from the calcite marbles elsewhere in this collection, though it is traded and finished in much the same way.
Its rich green base is threaded with darker green-to-brown veining in swirling, wave-like bands, with colour and vein density varying naturally from block to block – giving the stone its evocative ‘rainforest canopy’ name.
At Landford Stone, we select and supply natural stone like Rain Forest Green directly, backed by expert advice on finish, fabrication and long-term care.

Stone to last
a lifetime
As a natural stone, this marble is porous and should be sealed on installation, with re-sealing roughly every 12-18 months to guard against staining. Wipe up spills promptly - acidic liquids such as wine, citrus juice and vinegar can etch and dull the polished surface - and always clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner rather than bleach, ammonia or other acidic or abrasive products. Use a chopping board and trivets to protect against scratches and heat marks. With correct care, marble develops a genuine natural patina and remains a beautiful, long-lasting surface for generations.
