FINISH OPTIONS
Concrete

Concrete finish brings the raw, understated look of poured concrete to a worktop, with a light grain in place of a glassy shine. It's achieved using specialist finishing techniques, popular for kitchens with an industrial or contemporary feel.
Grip

Grip is a lightly textured, non-slip finish designed for flooring, steps and outdoor paving. The texture is worked into the material during manufacture, giving a secure feel underfoot without losing colour or pattern.
Grip Plus

Grip Plus takes the same non-slip principle further, offering extra slip resistance for areas like pool surrounds and commercial flooring. The treatment is built into the surface during production, so the grip lasts for the material's lifetime.
Honed

Honing gives the stone a matt finish rather than the polished glossy and shiny appearance. Honed black granite is often used in place of slate for kitchen worktops due to the overwhelming hardness and durability of granite worktops.
Matte

Matte finish gives stone a soft, non-reflective surface that shows far fewer fingerprints and water marks than polished stone. It's achieved by treating the surface to remove shine, while keeping the natural colour and pattern fully visible.
Polished

Polished stone is the most popular finish for both bathroom and kitchen worktops, giving your worktop a glass-like appearance and feel. Some granites are resined during the polishing process to fill the naturally occurring micro fissures present within the grain.
Rough

Rough finish has a coarse, tactile surface that brings out the natural variation in the stone, for a distinctly industrial character. Advanced finishing technology roughens the surface in a controlled way, so it stays practical to clean.
Satinato

This fine textured satin finish is ideal for those looking for an alternative to highly polished or matt surfaces. Created by brushing honed marble or granite with diamond brushes to obtain a leathery texture. The edges of satinato kitchen worktops are usually supplied in a silky, semi polished finish.
Silk

Silk finish sits between honed and polished, giving stone a soft matt look with a smooth, almost fabric-like feel. It suits anyone who wants the warmth of a matt surface without losing the subtle shimmer of light across it.
Stone

Stone finish recreates the gentle texture of naturally weathered rock, giving a surface that feels tactile rather than machine made. It's only lightly embossed, comfortable to the touch while adding real depth to the material.
Suede

Suede finish gives stone an extra-matt, velvety surface that pairs well with classic kitchen and bathroom designs. A specialist treatment removes shine entirely, while keeping the same stain and heat resistance as a polished surface.
Textured

Textured finish adds a deliberate, tactile pattern to the stone, giving a more rustic character than a smooth matt or polished finish. It suits classic colours and veined stones well, adding depth without overwhelming the pattern.
Velvet

Velvet finish has a soft, warm surface that feels genuinely velvety to the touch, suiting stone with rich colours or natural veining. It softens the coldness often associated with stone, for a more inviting, tactile worktop.
Volcano

Volcano finish has a deeply textured, rustic surface that still feels soft and pleasant underhand, striking for kitchens with a traditional feel. The heavy texture also suits outdoor use well, where extra grip underfoot matters.
