Palissandro Classico
A rare Piedmont marble with warm, wood-grain veining
Palissandro Classico is quarried in a single deposit in the Ossola Valley of Piedmont, a different region entirely from the famous Carrara marbles of Tuscany, giving it a genuinely rare provenance.
Its warm, linear veining running through a pale cream ground resembles the grain of rosewood – or ‘palisandro’ – timber, making it especially well suited to bookmatched panels that echo natural wood grain.
At Landford Stone, we select and supply natural marble like Palissandro Classico directly, backed by expert advice on finish, fabrication and long-term care.

Stone to last
a lifetime
As a natural stone, this marble is porous and should be sealed on installation, with re-sealing roughly every 12-18 months to guard against staining. Wipe up spills promptly - acidic liquids such as wine, citrus juice and vinegar can etch and dull the polished surface - and always clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner rather than bleach, ammonia or other acidic or abrasive products. Use a chopping board and trivets to protect against scratches and heat marks. With correct care, marble develops a genuine natural patina and remains a beautiful, long-lasting surface for generations.
