Carrara Gioia
A softly veined white Carrara marble from the Gioia quarry basin
Carrara Gioia is quarried at Gioia-Casette, one of the historic basins within the Apuan Alps marble district that has supplied stone since Roman times.
Its fine, sugar-grained texture and pure-to-light-grey white background carry a soft, intricate grey veining, giving each slab a genuinely subtle, elegant character distinct from the bolder patterns found elsewhere in the Carrara family.
At Landford Stone, we select and supply natural marble like Carrara Gioia directly, backed by expert advice on finish, fabrication and long-term care.

Stone to last
a lifetime
As a natural stone, this marble is porous and should be sealed on installation, with re-sealing roughly every 12-18 months to guard against staining. Wipe up spills promptly - acidic liquids such as wine, citrus juice and vinegar can etch and dull the polished surface - and always clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner rather than bleach, ammonia or other acidic or abrasive products. Use a chopping board and trivets to protect against scratches and heat marks. With correct care, marble develops a genuine natural patina and remains a beautiful, long-lasting surface for generations.
