Blue-in-the-night

Blue in the Night

A deep blue-black stone flecked with crystal formations, like stars shining in a night sky

Blue in the Night is a natural dark blue-black stone, sourced from Namibia.
Geologically an anorthosite — an intrusive igneous rock dominated by plagioclase feldspar — Blue in the Night is commercially traded as a granite. Its medium-grained crystal formations scatter across a deep blue-black background, creating the appearance of stars shining in a night sky. As with all natural stone, colour and pattern vary slab to slab. It offers a hardwearing, scratch-resistant surface for kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces, and benefits from periodic sealing to maintain its stain resistance.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Stone to last

a lifetime

Natural stone is hardwearing but, unlike engineered quartz, benefits from periodic resealing to maintain its stain resistance. Clean with a pH-neutral cleaner and a microfibre cloth, wiping up spills promptly and avoiding acidic cleaners. We always recommend using chopping boards, trivets and protective pads, and following the specific care guidance for your Blue in the Night surface.
